Is it normal to get excited about colouring pencils? Well when the colours are as bright and vibrant as these then we say Yes. It’s a known fact that adult colouring books can be theraputic and help to relieve stress, but finding the right colouring in set can be a challenge in itself. We tested out the Maped Helix Color’peps which came in a set of 15 coloured pencils and 12 medium felt-tip pens. On trial today just the pencils (the pens will be reviewed at a later date).
The first thing you notice about this set are the colours, some of which are really bright and fun, especially the Apple Green and Bubble Blue – actually can we just mention the names are equally fun eg Red Kiss, Fruity Orange and Fluo yellow. The only slightly annoying issue is getting them back in the packaging after using them, but that’s what pencil cases are for right? All things considered, if you are looking for an affordable set of coloured pencils with just the right amount of choice (and 12 felt tips included) then these are definitely up there with the best.
